Montagu, a short drive through the poort from Robertson lies at the South West corner of the Little Karoo and is noted for being a picturesque town in attractive surroundings close to the mountains.  As well as being of interest in itself it is also a wine growing area which makes it a popular place to visit as well as a good place to break a long journey.  Montagu has a wide choice of guest house, B&B, hotel and self catering accommodation options.
